Year 12/13 Shared Learning
This programme is for Year 12 and 13 learners who want to work towards a National Vocational Qualification at the same time as continuing their education at school.
Description
Learners attend a work-based learning provider for three days each week and can choose from the 13 vocational areas available. work-based learning is complemented by continued attendance at school for two days each week with the option to follow courses in:

- COPE Level 3
- Philosophy
- Expressive Arts
- BTEC Health and Social Care
- BTEC Travel and Tourism
- Cabin Crew
- European Computer Driving Licence
- Community Sports Leadership Award
Attendance
Learners attend five days per week; three days each week with a work-based learning provider and two days at school during Years 12 and 13.
Qualifications
NVQ or Apprenticeship.
Course Content
The course has a solid practical foundation as well as a compulsory theory element including portfolio building, the completion of technical certificates and functional skills.
