Pre-16 Entry to Employment
This programme is designed to meet the needs of students who have not been attending school on a regular basis. All referrals to the programme are processed via the Pre-16 E2E Panel.
Description
Learners choose tasters from the nine vocational areas offered at Palmersville - see below. The programme focuses on practical learning and offers an alternative to the classroom environment. Learners are given support by experienced training staff to help them to re-engage with learning. All learners on this programme are required to follow an accredited route.
Attendance
Attendance is negotiated to meet the learner's needs.
Qualifications
Learners work towards a National Vocational Qualification or equivalent in their chosen area.
Course Content
The emphasis is entirely on practical skills but there will be a small amount of theory to be completed depending on the qualification undertaken.
