14-19 Diploma
The Hair and Beauty Diploma is an exciting new qualification designed for 14-19 year old which offers a blend of academic and vocation learning.
Description
The programme covers all aspects of the hair and beauty industry as well as helping learners develop key employability skills and important basics such as English, Maths and ICT. Learners will need to take a 'job-ready' qualification to maintain employment within the hair and beauty sector.
Attendance
At age 14 years, learners attend Palmersville Training for 2 days each week whilst continuing their education at school for 3 days. At 16 learners have the option to attend Palmersville Training on a full-time basis.
Qualifications
The Diploma is offered at 3 different levels:
- The Foundation Diploma (equivalent to 4-5 GCSEs)
- The Higher Diploma (equivalent to 5-6 GCSEs)
- The Advanced Diploma (equivalent to 3 A Levels)
Course Content
The Hair and Beauty Diploma offers a blend of vocational and academic learning; 75% academic and 25% practical learning.
