Learner joins Navy - (02/04/2008)
Daryl Kirkby commenced training with us in September 2006, he conquered a number of family problems and personal issues to achieve his NVQ in Distributive Operations Level 1 and both his reach and counter balance fork lift truck qualifications.
Throughout his time at Palmersville Daryl mentioned that he would love a career with the Royal Navy but never thought for one minute he would get the chance. However, Daryl starts his new and exciting career with the Royal Navy in June 2008, where he will be driving fork lift trucks, transporting supplies and goods from dock to ship.
Daryl comments "I have gained so much confidence and had support throughout my time with Palmersville. The team were always on hand with the help I needed. I have resolved issues and moved forward and now have the opportunity to do what I have always wanted to do."
Palmersville Training would like to wish Daryl all the best for the future.
