Year 11 Programme
The majority of learners who join the Year 11 Programme have progressed from the Year 10 Programme. However, the programme is also open to learners wishing to attend work-based learning for the first time in Year 11.
Description
Learners select one vocational area in which they wish to specialise. For some learners it is appropriate to use an external work placement to enable them to gain a 'real' experience of the work place. Other learners benefit more form developing their skills within the training centre.
Attendance
Learners attend for one day per week for the full academic year.
Qualifications
Learners work toward a National Vocational Qualification or equivalent.
Course Content
A high proportion of this programme is practical, however, those learners following NVQ units will be required to do some recording.
