Practical Arrangements
Transport
Initially transport is arranged for learners to travel between school and the learning providers. As young people progress on the programme independent travel is possible, however, arrangements are made to suit individual learners. Palmersville Training is well served by bus and metro links.
Attendance
Young peopel attend training on agreed days starting at 9.00am and finishing at 3.00pm at the latest.
Lunch
Young people are encouraged to eat lunch. A discounted meal is available from the restaurant for learners attending Palmersville Training and a comfortable lunch area is available where learners can relax, eat their lunch and watch TV. At other learning providers, a room will be made available for lunch. Young people who qualify for a free lunch will be provided with a packed lunch by school.
Additional Support
When young people have additional support needs, we work in co-operation with the school. At Palmersville Training we are able to draw on the expertise of staff in our Support Worker Team who are able to access a wide range of other services.
