Emma was such a quiet girl it was hard to get a word out of her. She has severe learning difficulties and now lives independently after leaving care. As she progressed in her qualification her confidence grew as she could see she was completing more and more of her assessments.

After a long hard struggle she completed her level 1 in September 2010 when she progressed onto her Level 2 Access to Apprenticeship.

After our in house training kitchen and restaurant closed Emma took on a placement at a small cafe run by disabled people. This helped boost her confidence further to the extent that she requested a bigger and busier placement in order to expand her skills.

Emma has just recently been taken on as an Employed Apprentice at a busy local Cafe. Emma loves the placement and always has a beaming smile on her face, a true indication of enjoyment. Having the staff and customers at the cafe praising her and saying what a lovely young lady she is always helps as well.

All being well and her training running smoothly Emma will hopefully finish her Apprenticeship in June 2012. This will be such an achievement from the shy young lady that entered our training rooms a couple of short years ago.
